Tilt and Turn Windows - System 4500
Perhaps the best window available, the vinyl tilt-turn offers everything you might need in a window design. Easy to operate, strong, energy efficient, durable and elegant; System 4500 is the right window for any building application from residential to full commercial. Long the most popular window type used in Europe, the vinyl tilt-turn is rapidly becoming the window of choice for quality conscious North Americans.
Our European style Tilt & Turn windows use Siegenia Hardware imported from Germany.
Benefits
-
Dual Action operation: a single operating handle effortlessly unlocks the window and moves the sash into either a tilt or a turn mode.
-
Tilt open: sash opens inward at the top for natural ventilation, allowing overheated air high in the room to escape and fresh air to enter with minimal draft. A tilted sash can often be left open even when it's raining.
-
Turn open: swinging inward like a door, the fully open sash allows the maximum possible ventilation. The exterior surface can be easily and safely reached for washing, without the need to remove or support the sash.
-
Security: the window is positively locked for tamper resistance and for withstanding strong wind pressures by multiple locking points that surround the sash.
-
Fusion welded for strength: sash and frame corners are miter-cut and welded, eliminating caulking and joints that may loosen and leak.
-
Multi chambered walls: double-wall construction increases strength, permits thorough water drainage and increases energy efficiency.
-
Commercial rating: able to withstand heavy use, this window achieves a grade 70 rating (a rating often associated with resisting winds in excess of 130 mph) even when made in the industry-standard 4' x 6' commercial size.
-
Interior glazing: this glazing style presents a seamless sash to the outside elements and the effects of potential tampering.
-
Glass options: among the options are high-performance and decorative glass.
-
Longevity of vinyl: literally carefree, our windows resist corrosion from pollutants, never need painting and can be cleaned with soap and water. Both sash tilt inward for effortless cleaning of the outside glass.

Three windows in one: closed, it has the look and performance of a picture window.

A turn of the handle allows it to tilt in from the top to provide the ventilation of a hopper design.

One more turn and you have an inward-opening casement window that is easy to clean.
